How it works

1. Get your estimate

Enter your roof size, postcode and monthly bill. We calculate your potential system size, generation and savings instantly.

2. Book a free survey

Tell us where to reach you. A vetted commercial installer in your area arranges a free, no-obligation site survey.

3. Get a real proposal

The installer confirms roof condition, orientation and grid capacity on site, then gives you a costed proposal. You decide.

Why use an independent check first?

Installers quote to win the job. We don't install anything, so the numbers you see are a neutral starting point. We only pass your details to a vetted installer when you ask us to book a survey.

  • Indicative system size and savings, free
  • UK commercial rates and generation assumptions
  • Matched to installers who cover your area
  • Your details are never sold or shared without your say-so

Frequently asked questions

How much do commercial solar panels cost in the UK?+

Commercial solar costs roughly £800–£1,300 per kWp installed in 2026, falling to £700–£1,000 per kWp on large warehouse-scale roofs as the fixed costs spread further. A 50 kWp system runs about £64,000–£70,000. Most suitable roofs pay back in 4–7 years. Our cost guide breaks the prices down by system size.

Do you need planning permission for commercial solar panels?+

Usually not. Rooftop solar on commercial buildings has been permitted development at any size in England since December 2023, so most installs need no planning application. The main exceptions are listed buildings, conservation areas, and panels projecting more than 200mm above a pitched roof. Our planning guide covers the detail.

Are solar panels worth it for a business?+

For most businesses with a suitable roof and daytime electricity use, yes. With grid power at 25–30p per kWh and rooftop solar generating at an effective 5–8p, typical payback is 4–7 years, followed by a 10–20% return over a 25-year-plus life. Daytime-heavy operations such as warehouses and factories do best.

Is the assessment really free?+

Yes — completely free, with no obligation. We're independent and don't install solar, so there is nothing for us to sell you. Installers pay us only when an assessment turns into a booked site survey that you have asked for — that is how the service stays free for businesses.

What happens after I submit my details?+

You see your indicative system size, savings and payback on screen straight away. If the numbers stack up and you want to go further, we arrange a free, no-obligation site survey with a vetted installer who covers your area. They confirm the roof and grid connection on site, then give you a costed proposal. You decide.

Do you cover my area?+

Yes — we cover businesses across the whole of the UK, including England, Scotland and Wales. The assessment works for any UK commercial roof from your postcode, and we match you with vetted installers who operate in your region for the site survey.
