Business Solar Check is a free, independent assessment for UK businesses weighing up rooftop solar. We are not an installer. We give you a neutral read on system size, savings and payback — and, if the numbers work, match you with a vetted installer for a free site survey.
Why we built it
Search "commercial solar" and almost every result is an installer quoting to win the job. For a business owner that makes one simple question — is this actually worth it for us, and what should it cost? — surprisingly hard to answer honestly. We pulled together government cost data, real installer pricing and the grant and tax rules so you can get a realistic number before you ever speak to a salesperson.
Who's behind it

I'm Taro — I built Business Solar Check, and I run it. I'm not a solar installer and I'm not selling panels, which is exactly the point: the numbers here have no sales target behind them.
I made this because the information a business needs before going solar was buried in installer brochures and government PDFs. The tool turns that into a straight answer for your roof. If it stacks up and you want to go further, I'll introduce you to an installer who has been vetted — but the decision, and the timing, stay yours.

What "independent" means here
Business Solar Check is free for businesses, and we are not tied to any single installer. Installers pay us only when one of our assessments becomes a booked site survey — you pay nothing, and our listings are not pay-to-play. That is the only way we make money, and it means we have no reason to push you toward anyone but the right fit. You are always free to walk away.
